"Nägel mit Köpfen machen" (German idiom; trans. "to make a real job for it") - that's the motto of my new year's graphic for 2017. If you're interested in obtaining one out of the 40 etchings I made, there are two options:

1. You're an artist sending me your new year's graphic for which you'll receive mine in return.

2.You buy one for the price of 65 euros.

Exchanging new year's graphics is an old tradition amongst artists. Besides the graphic itself, there is usually a new year's message that comes with it. Furthermore, its editions are commonly very limited. The initials "p.f." below the print are French for "pour féliciter", which stands for "to wish luck".

"Nägel mit Köpfen machen" ist meine auf 40 Stück limitierte Neujahrsgrafik für das Jahr 2017. Um diese Grafik zu bekommen gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:

1. Künstler sein, mir eine Neujahrsgrafik schicken und von mir eine zurück bekommen.

2. Kauf zum Neujahrs-Bonuspreis von 65 €

Sich Neujahrsgrafiken zum Beginn des neuen Jahres zu schicken ist eine alte Tradition unter Künstlern. Häufig sind diese mit einem Spruch für das neue Jahr versehen. Neujahrsgrafiken gibt es meist in einer limitierten, sehr kleinen Auflage. Sie werden immer mit einem p.f. unter dem Druck versehen, was für pour féliciter (frz.) = um Glück zu wünschen, steht.
